Head out of the tube station, under the railway bridge and slink down the alleyway, past the furniture shop that spills onto the street. Here you’ll find East London’s first winery and wine bar Renegade. Tucked under one of the arches, joining the graffiti and Deliveroo drivers who use this as a cut through is this awesome little spot… wooden benches line the alleyway for sunnier days and inside too, where you’re also surrounded by wine barrels, stainless steel tanks and a grape press – being amongst it here really adds to the charm. The grapes are bought in from across the UK & Europe and aged here, before ending up in bottles with fittingly ‘cool’ labels. We love this place because there’s no pretence, there’s generally a dog to pet and you can bring your own food or enjoy one of their charcuterie platters before taking a bottle home.
