    Everything about 100 Kensington is bold, brash and ready for its close-up. Push open the door and you’re greeted by a life-size bronze bull. Each light fitting is huge and elaborate. The tables are topped with zany, colourful patterns and the seats are covered in crushed grey velvet. Behind the bar sit row upon row of jars lit up to make a rainbow, while monochrome crosses are projected onto the venue’s white walls. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a restaurant on the ground floor of the kooky Exhibitionist Hotel, just moments from South Ken’s museum stretch.

    Just Opened London Says…

    If you fancy popping in before dinner time, you’ll find a scrumptious Asian-style afternoon tea. For £25, you can indulge in items like duck egg or cured salmon. The sweet dishes, like spiced pumpkin scone and chocolate ganache with ginger yoghurt, are intriguing. You won’t encounter another afternoon tea like this in London. For an extra special touch, add a glass of Veuve Clicquot. For a winning end (or start) to your night, check out the cocktails. You’ll find classic drinks modified in the 100’s distinct style – like the spiced Old Fashioned or the “Espress-Oh Martini” – as well as unique signatures.

    London on the Inside Says…

    Yet another East London site has gone WAY OUT WEST as the guys behind 100 Hoxton open in Kensington. Joining Patty & Bun and Dishoom on the other side of town, 100 Kensington sits on the first floor of the Exhibitionist Hotel, just round the corner from South Kensington tube. Their Asian fusion cooking will remain at the heart of the menu and so will their innovative cocktails. So you can expect to see the likes of kimchi arancini with gochujang aioli, octopus with burnt cauliflower, chorizo & pickles and beignets with coconut salted caramel ice cream. On the weekends they will also be doing a bottomless brunch with 100 minutes of free flowing bubbles and food for just £28. We’re sold.
