    Time Out Says…

    The vibe is relaxed and cool: the post-industrial vibe of the basement features Nike Air-clad staff handjiving with each other to the funky background music. Plus there’s silly touches like meat-based puns scrawled on mirrors in lipstick (which is cute even if we’re not sure anyone wants to look at a face that’s so covered in meat grease you could roll a tallow candle on it). It’s laidback, fun and buzzy.

    As if all that wasn’t enough, there are another couple of elements which put this new spot firmly in the running for the title of most Bacchanalian basement in the business. There’s a whole list of £5 cocktails — including some which circulate the room on a trolley, and are also available to buy by the bottle — and the playlist is made up of pure pop anthems. Oh, and don’t forget those reservations.

    Also underground, the space itself is has a low-lit industrial feel with vintage flourishes; the chunky, square-cut brass bar is offset by the ’20s-style cocktail trolley, while the exposed brick walls and bare concrete floor reflect the simplicity of the menu...As well as the aforementioned cocktail trolley, they now have the aforementioned bar too, from which they’re serving their classic lineup of “Cocktails for a Fiver”
