    It’s a butcher by day, with demo space for talks and events. It’s a deli, selling juices and cold-brew coffee. It offers takeaway lunches and bacon rolls of a morning. It’s a wine bar if you want it to be. And it’s a fully-fledged restaurant serving slap-up dinners. Phew. At every stage, though, the offering comes back to more or less one thing: the meat. Bought direct from trusted farmers, butchered on site and used to both sell and cook with, it’s an efficient and impassioned operation.

    The Nudge Says…

    Spread over both floors with an al fresco patio and a basement level that doubles as a private dining room, it’s an expansive space decked out with exposed natural wood, copper accents and slate grey tiling in a throwback to traditional British butchers. Here they’re serving up a simple menu of three signature dishes; steak & chips (250g of sirloin for £15), a burger, and – plot twist! – a vegetarian option, while the barkeeps are throwing together classic cocktails and pouring from a slick wine and beer selection.
