There's usually four or five on the hand pulls, with a particular liking for some excellent Dark Star brews - as testified by the collection of pump labels beginning to accumulate. Our pint of Everard's Tiger was in better nick than we've had in certain Everard's pubs.
Cask may not be located in the nicest part of Pimlico, nestled among the area’s big estates, but this doesn’t stop people from seeking it out from far and wide. Why? The bar and kitchen has a dedication to the art of beer-making that is unrivalled in the capital.
Cask has been blazing a beer trail for years, since way before your old local had its own craft beer list. It’s not much to look at – an awkward shape at the bottom of a newbuild block – but the real attraction is in the fridges and cellar. They’re filled with an almost absurdly generous range of the finest brews from London, Britain and beyond, with something to satisfy the most ardent hophead or convert the most nervous lager-drinker. Staff really know their stuff – ask for a recommendation and you won’t be disappointed.
