The cocktail menu was inspired by Selfridges’ rich heritage and devised by specialist Ryan Chetiyawardana with drinks including the delicious-sounding 1909 Smash – made up of Sipsmith Gin, peach and mint. Plus their hand-picked wine list is an exciting mix of tastes and cultures, while their beers are London based ales and craft bottles, including their own brewer 1909 IPA. Food is simple yet delicious, with a selection of charcuterie and cheese from our Foodhall, seasonal salads on offer to customers drinking at the bar.

A smart new wine and spirits shop is not the only draw downstairs at Selfridges. You can also pop in to Harry Gordon’s (named after the store’s founder) for a shot of Dutch courage before splashing out on a pair of designer heels or a sharp suit. In an agreeably modern, bistro-style setting seemingly made from pale-pine wine crates, you’ll find a well-considered range of tipples including Greek and Portuguese names among two dozen by the glass, plus Champagne and British craft beers.
