Utterly enchanting and downright delicious, One Canada Square is one heck of a bar and restaurant. Canary Wharf's most exquisite eatery, I well and truly fell victim to its lustful advances, satisfying sensory desires with the winning formula of fine wine, rich grub and a nest filled with curious little eggs.
An express set breakfast, cocktail deals, a prix fixe menu and champagne breakfasts also feature, as well as a bar menu with daily specials. The wine list offers old world and new world wines, including six champagnes, three sherries and four ports. Wine flights are available, too.
Cocktails keep to that Art Deco Americana theme, with a list of house classics including variations on the Martini and Julep...The wine list can be browsed through on the iPad provided, which does make it easy to select from reds, whites and roses, although it appears that staff have an impressive encyclopaedic knowledge of what will best suit your meal – a good, old-fashioned method that almost renders the modern iPad twist obsolete.
