Cocktails are killer and at five quid you can and should try the lot. We liked the Ginger Beer and Basil Mojito and the Ale Smoked Old Fashioned. There’s a small and super cheap wine list which goes perfectly with their tapas menu.
Fantastic tapas, a wide range of spanish wines and hard to source beers, and a classic mix of cocktails, some with a revamp, some without. Changing the menu seasonally there always something new to try, be it a twist on a timeless classic like the Ale Smoked Old Fashioned or bespoke Basil & Ginger Beer Mojito.
Cocktails are straightforward and made with care – from a neat menu printed on a luggage tag, we chose a strong, honeyed Old Fashioned and a Bramble, served in a vintage teacup with a little cake on the saucer. Beers are Iberian too, and among the compact wine list there’s a very passable cava by the glass for £4.
