Square Meal Says…
It’s a stylish spot, with smart teal leather booths in the bar, and a handsome open-plan dining area. Here, zingy snacks of anchovy and goats’ butter crisps made a bright beginning to our meal, as did the selection of meats. Equally appealing were starters of smoked Tamworth spare ribs, and tongue-tingling crispy five-pepper squid... Not everything’s so meaty – deep-fried spiced squid and hummus, with a drizzle of green harissa were consistent small plates... Foxlow hasn’t done anything dramatic to the spacious interior since the team took over. The light and airy front bar remains a good spot for cocktails, but if you’re a local hankering after steak, this is as good as it gets in W4.Read more…

They bring to west London their ‘incredible meat’ from British farms, with a fondness for cocktails and for makng special and surprising the dishes we thought we knew well. Best on the menu from Clerkenwell, the home cured salmon starter, seasoned so beautifully and a good looking, multicoloured dish to pull apart with a number of other ‘starters’ for lunch; then there’s mains like beef short rib, or staple Foxlow fried chicken cooked in two ways...
