    A short while ago, the team behind The Marylebone opened a new concept bar in Farringdon, Barsmith, which serves up infused cocktails and pizzas. Housed in a vibrant and relaxed all day bar setting we went along to try these fellas out. With more than a few cocktails jumping out from the menu we suggest you take your time and try as many as possible…then revisit your favs. Hot Stuff Baby is guaranteed to spice things up, full of zest, ginger and chilli along with vodka and blended carrot juice…there’s also a carrot thrown in there too. What’s up doc? The signature ‘The Barsmith’ is a gin based ginger and honey meets lychee and lime combo topped up with ginger beer.

    Just Opened London Says…

    Perfecting balancing acts is hard. In fact, finding a good bar that serves food may be the hardest act of them all. That said, Smithfield’s Barsmith is pretty well the perfect place to stop for a pizza, salad and a cocktail without ever compromising each’s own worth. And that’s saying something. But don’t forget this is a bar! Craft beers and world wines are charted in the menu with visual graphs to help you decipher your malbec from your Marlborough New Zealand, and the carefully curated cocktails are perfect new takes martinis and margaritas (with orange marmalade!?) and even the staples – an apple cider mojito – are stunningly well crafted.

    Time Out Says…

    Cocktails play the lead at this swanky Farringdon spot. They're served in a bar so stripped back it nearly needs a fig leaf - think exposed brickwork, swooping naked filaments and paint-stripped poles. There's clearly quite a bit of thought gone into the cocktails. The team here infuse many of the ingredients themselves, before mixing them up in contemporary takes on classics - or in their own creations. So, a breakfast martini is made with orange-infused tequila, homemade triple sec, organic marmalade, freshly squeezed lime and pink grapefruit juice. A milky way, meanwhile, comprises homemade white chocolate vodka, homemade coffee rum, amaretto and organic cream.
