    The buzz: This place does any cocktail you want in the candlelit, exposed-brick surroundings of what used to be the old East India Company warehouse. The deal: The cocktails really are superb — and a steal at £9 for their value. Bartenders Milos and Fabio have encyclopedic knowledge (and stories aplenty) of every lotion and potion. They even sculpt their own snowballs of ice so your drinks stay cool. Good for: Glamorous post-work drinks and dates for those who work in the area.

    The well-stocked and mirrored back bar is beautifully lit, displaying a fine collection of bottles; a far wall is also mirrored, with concealed doors leading to the loos. The music’s not too loud and is suitably ambient. The cocktail list is long and well considered, divided by spirit. Service was leisurely on the quiet night we visited, but the drinks were well made

    Old Bengal Bar is principally a chic and atmospheric space dominated by exposed brick work and mirrored walls, where guests get the chance to sample an extensive choice of cocktails created by Bar Manager Milos Popovic and his team. The signature drinks of the house include the Fleur de Lis and Dirty Truffle alongside more familiar cocktails served with a twist such as Prince of Wales and New York Sour. The Old Bengal Bar will also serve a selection of spirits by the bottle and a comprehensive wine list to enjoy either inside or on The Old Bengal Bars secluded terrace.
