    Design My Night Says…

A secret grey door. A keypad to let yourself in. A hidden lounge bar; an oasis to escape the craziness of life above, on the streets of Kings Cross. Forget what you know about members bars. Keystone Crescent is not about status. Keystone Crescent is not about money. Keystone Crescent is about like-minded, friendly, sociable young professionals enjoying a drink together in a laid-back, non-pretentious atmosphere. Expect a simple menu of straightforward drinks, fresh home-made mixers and a hand-picked wine and beer list.

The interior of Keystone Crescent is as eclectic and warm as the bar team - the angular chairs, crushed velvet curtains and tones of beige, mustard and grey are all rather ‘50s, but that’s exactly what we like about it. Cocktails change regularly, and the list is often small but perfectly formed. There is obvious flair in drinks, but the team are just as happy whipping up classics like clover clubs and old fashioneds. A small handful of craft beers rounds out the menu, but the mixology is really where it’s at.

With its sophisticated muted tones, tactile texturing and smart 1950s hire-purchase ‘settees’, this debonair basement could be a set from Mad Men– save for some more modern hooch behind its small timber-topped brick bar. Aimed at ‘sociable people who like straightforward drinks until unsociable hours’, it offers a dozen wines by the bottle with painless mark-ups either side of £25, plus fairly basic cocktails, a selection of zesty homemade shrubs to pep up a Broker’s gin (or your spirit of choice) and some of London’s coolest customers.
