The menu demonstrates how traditional dishes are done best (absolutely tender octopus served simply with soft potatoes, or smooth chickpea purée with nibs of spiced chorizo) and balances this with novel playful flavour-pairings...Service is friendly and very Spanish. Pop into Ibérica’s deli next door to buy cured meats and Spanish cheeses – and remember to book if you’re visiting the restaurant at the end of the week.
Naturally, the extensive drinks menu takes in wines, sherries and cavas, exclusively from Spain, starting at around £20 and reaching as high as £520 for a Priorat. The Londoño Crianza 2008 (£24.90) makes for a good, easy-drinking compromise, while the rich and nutty Pastrana sherry (£8.20/ £50) sits on the more savoury end of the sherry scale...Friendly and unpretentious, Iberica offers an easy-going dining experience, albeit with a sense of luxury and occasion. With the food as the focus, everything else just seems to fall into place.
Ibérica Marylebone on Great Portland Street offers the very best in Spanish cuisine. This restaurant and bar is a beautiful space for relaxing in the afternoon or enjoying a few drinks and a meal after work. The floor to ceiling windows give it plenty of natural light and the light colours make it feel very fresh and clean. Sit at one of the many tables or at the massive statement bar in the centre of the restaurant or even grab something to go from the deli.
