Who said distilling was easy? There’s a lot more to it than just putting things in a still, and Cotswolds distiller Capreolus goes much further than most. Hundreds of trials and test distillations have created a complex modern gin that was our favourite of the past 12 months, winning The Whisky Exchange Spirit of the Year award 2017.
The Whisky Exchange will be joined by founder and master distiller Barney Wilczak to sample the award-winning gin, as well as his pioneering eau-de-vies – all distilled using fresh fruit. Capreolus celebrates the best of craft, attention to detail and hard work to create the best spirit possible.
Guests will be tasting the award-winning Garden Tiger gin and the new limited-edition mulberry-wood cask-aged release, as well as some of Barney’s incredible fruit eaux-de-vie.
Barney Wilczak is a photographer-turned-distiller who now makes small-batch gin and eaux-de-vie. Ingredients are his obsession, with years of foraging and experimentation giving him a unique insight into his local flora.
