Pink Clink Brunch, a free-flowing rosé affair is launching at Avenue Restaurant in St. James just in time for the August Bank Holiday. The seasonal British restaurant will serve a two or three-course brunch menu which can be enjoyed with bottomless rosé whilst a DJ gets those weekend party vibes going.
With new Head Chef Arnold Ivey at the helm, the menu includes an extravagant array of popular brunch dishes alongside substantial mains and brasserie-style eats. You can kick-start your weekend feast with a number of yolk-based starters, such as smoked salmon and scrambled eggs; pancakes topped with maple syrup, bacon and fried egg; English muffin with crushed avocado, poached egg and Hollandaise; and, for something sweet, Greek yoghurt, fresh fruit and honey.
For mains, Arnold has created dishes to complement the rosé including lobster roll with Marie Rose sauce and fries, the always reliable Avenue Cheeseburger stacked high with bacon, gherkin, and tomato, and served with a generous portion of fries; the comfort food classic, mac n’ cheese with either bacon or spinach; and battered haddock with chips, crushed peas, and homemade tartare sauce. Desserts come in the form of crowd-pleasing classics, think chocolate sundae packed with chunks of gooey brownie, Feuilletine and chocolate ice cream; chocolate tart served with hazelnut ice cream and strawberry and vanilla cheesecake.
