London Beer Week at Old Truman Brewery

Emma Murphy | 01/02/2016

For each of our festivals we choose a home – an area of this fine city in which to set up camp for a week with our Hub and an array of other pop-ups, curated to showcase the best of our festival and the beers at the heart of it.

For London Beer Week you’ll find us at the Old Truman Brewery – an iconic beer soaked landmark from London’s brewing past – with a line-up of fantastic bars all serving you £3 beers and £5 Boilermakers for the duration of the week.

First stop – The Sharp’s LBW Hub. Joining us once again from Cornwall, the folks at Sharp’s are bringing sand, surf and hopefully some sunshine, with a whole host of activities planned for the week. They’ve also brewed a special LBW beer just for the occasion.

Round the corner on Dray Walk you’ll find the Czech Club. A collaboration between Kozel and Pilsner Urquell celebrating the culture and history of the Czech Republic’s iconic refreshing style of lager. They’re even setting up the pilsner tanks especially so you can sup it straight from the source.

Also along Dray Walk the Guinness Brewers Project are popping up with their newest brew – Hop House 13. They’ll have live music, delicious pizza, and all the beers from St James’s Gate.

Come Thursday, the unofficial start of the weekend, the DrinkUp.London Boilermaker Bar will join the party – a bluesy rock and rollin’ pop-up showcasing the humble Boilermaker. We’ve picked six of our favourites brews and six whiskies (well, five and a Czech liqueur), all of varying styles – just roll the dice to pick your poison.

See all the LBW pop-ups here.

We can’t wait to welcome you and get the party started – cheers to a fantastic week London!
