Swift was one of the most anticipated openings London has seen this year. Launched as a joint venture between the already successful owners of Bar Nightjar and Oriole, Edmund Weil and Rosie Stimpson, and ex-Match bartenders Bobby Hiddelston and Mia Johanssan, you could say the bar was destined for greatness before it even had a home. Of course taking over what was once London's best training ground for bartenders, LAB (and the birthplace of the Porn Star Martini), only heightened the expectations of London's thirsty drinkers.
Swift - you didn't disappoint.
Upstairs is a stunning day and early evening drinking spot in white marble and sky blue with large polished mirrors. Up here cocktails are elegant and on the simpler side - think sherry, Bloody Marys, Sgroppinos and a side of oysters - while downstairs, with its huskier tones, richer colours and enormous whisky collection the drinks are more punchy and serious. Well, you can see for yourself.
