LWW: How it works

Everything you need to know about London Wine Week

London Wine Week is a seven day festival celebrating the great and good of the city’s wine scene, including the bars and wine producers which make up this vibrant landscape as well as the best reds, whites, rosés and bubbles available.

Taking place for a fourth year this June, the festival hosts a varied line up of ticketed events, including the three day Wine Edit which converts Oval Space in Bethnal Green into a summer wine garden, as well as discounted serves and exclusive offers in more than 125 of the capital’s best wine bars and restaurants.

Our next London Wine Week festival is Mon 5th to Sun 11th June 2017.

The LWW pop-ups

Devonshire Square in the heart of the city will once again play host to a number of al fresco pop-up bars. Check back shortly to see which regions and brands will be taking over this beautiful space.

The Wine Edit

For the first time as part of London Wine Week we're converting Bethnal Green's Oval Space into the ultimate three-day-long summer wine garden complete with incredible wines from around the world, showcasing as-yet untasted vintages and varieties. As part of the space there will be a vermouth space hosted by Regal Rouge, called the Rouge Terrace where you can enjoy sunset aperitifs. Tickets to this event are on sale now.

£5 Wine Flights on the Wine Tours

We partner with over 125 bars for London Wine Week, all of whom serve a £5 wine flight of three delicious wines for Festival Pass holders. There is one flight available in each venue and you can see what these are online and on our app once full details are released in April. It’s a great chance to visit a new bar and try new wines without hitting your bank balance.

Our wine flights aren't shabby, bottom shelf bottles, but rather some beautiful varieties and vintages from across the world. The flights are put together by the expert sommeliers so each wine will either lead you to the next, compare a variety or showcase the stark differences in the wine world. Last year festival attendees could immerse themselves in sunny Californian vineyards, dabble in the prestigious terroir of France or journey to Portugual, Chile and Australia in search of the perfect glass of wine, all in the comfort of London’s best bars.

We'll announce our partner bars in April 2017 – so check back here shortly to see which bars you can visit in June.

Sip & Snack offers

A number of our partner bars go one step further than a £5 wine flight and put together a unique food pairing offer for Festival Pass holders. This could be anything from a wine and paired cheese to a complete meal. Our offers will be announced a little closer to the festival with plenty of time to get those mouths watering.

Festival Passes

To get involved in the Wine Tours you will need a Festival Pass; which cost £10 and will be available to buy online from late April 2017. To access the wine flights, and sip & snack offers all you have to do is show the bar staff your Festival Pass which comes in the form of a wristband - essentially, it’s your key to the city for the whole week ensuring you’re well fed and watered throughout the festival.

Every year we, together with our partners, host delicious and engaging events. This could be masterclasses, winery tours, parties, tastings or decadent banquets. Want to learn how wine is made? How to taste wine like an expert? How to pair wine with food? Which wines are best to drink at certain times of the year? Or just meet loads of fun Londoners and drink delicious wine with them? There’s an event for everyone, amateur to expert.

Our event timetable is put online one month before the festival so be sure to check back regularly and see what’s happening.
