A look back at the 2016 Event
Masterminded by Gin Monkey (who else?!) World Gin Day is a chance for us all to celebrate the wonder of botanicals and spirit, so whether you take yours with some juice like Snoop Dog or straight and cold like Churchill, June 11th is the day to imbibe.
What's Going On...
Running from early June until July 11th, Bombay Shappire has taken over the rooftop at Harvey Nicols. Visit on World Gin Day (or any other for that matter) to experience perfect gin and tonic served in an oasis in the middle of London. Like your G&T with a twist? There'll be a great and alternative selection of ingredients to create your own including tempting tonic waters such as elderflower, yuzu and lemongrass, artisanal tonic syrups from Jack Rudy, plus plenty of garnishes - you can even forage from the leaves overhead.
It surely couldn't be a coincidence that World Gin Day and Negroni Week overlap...so with a Negroni in one hand, and a Negroni in other, we're toasting this most delicious of gin cocktails. 10 selected bars around London have featured Negroni offers and are donating to charities such as Battersea Dogs Home and Action Against Hunger so get out there and support those in need while enjoying some beautifully crafted cocktails.
Gin Rituals And Punch With Portobello Road Gin At The London Edition

In homage to the nations favourite spirit, they’ve partnered up with Portobello Road Gin to bring their Lobby Bar guests a gin ritual each night leading up to the big day (insider tip, be there for 10pm), and a super, gin fuelled Daily Punch over in the Punch Room.
This iconic tonic brand says World Gin Day is one of their favourite annual occasions so they're pulling out the big guns and popping-up on London's Southbank for the Thursday, Friday and of course WGD Saturday. They’ll also be showcasing their newest addition to the Fever-Tree range, Aromatic Tonic Water, with a modern twist of “Pink G&T” to mark the occasion.
