Post-Picnic at Victoria Park

You’re munched through all the crisps and there’s no more fruity cider. As the sun sets this is your post-park evening sorted.
  • Start here

    Mother Kelly's

    251 Paradise Row, London, E2 9LE

    Mon 4pm-11pm Tue-Thu Midday-11pm Fri-Sat Midday-Midnight Sun Midday-11pm

A mere five minutes from Victoria Park this is the type of venue which could inspire even the most ardent beer-hater to try a brew. There's just so many different types, from the six fridges filled with bottles to the 23 taps, 19 of which pump out delicious beers, different ones each time you visit. After sprawling in the park the outdoor picnic bench seating will seem like bliss so grab a bench and few pints and enjoy the many varied and unusual beers.

  • Move On

    The Sun Tavern

    441 Bethnal Green Road, London, E2 0AN

    Mon-Wed Midday-Midnight, Thu-Sat Midday-1am, Sun Midday-Midnight

Ready for something stronger but keen to keep the vibe chilled we're heading just around the corner to the Sun Tavern. There's a handful of well-executed cocktails but the really gems here are the beers and Irish whiskey. Boilermaker anyone? Sample the regularly changing 'local hero' which is always sourced from microbreweries within a few mile radius of Bethnal Green and try a nip of Poitin - a traditional Irish distilled beverage.

  • End Here

    Cocktail Trading Co. Brick Lane

    68 Bethnal Green Road, London, E1 6GQ

    Mon-Wed 4pm-11.30pm Thu-Sat 4pm-Midnight Sun 4pm-10.30pm

Our last stop is a small cocktail bar off Brick Lane with delicious mixed drinks. There's loads of fun classics if you want to keep the party going or, now the sun has finally set, you could just ask the bartenders for one of their fine Martini, Manhattan or Sazerac, 100% fuss-free.
