Best Bars Says...
The Hide’s cocktail menu is a long list of serves — one more original and enticing than the next, with some banging food to go along and that south of the river welcoming cosiness...It’s seated only at The Hide, so book in advance to cosy up in one of the leather booths when the night falls, as the place goes dark and becomes true to its name, den-like, candlelit and with a special secret feel.
The atmosphere is very welcoming - even if you’re not a regular - and you can easily spend an entire evening sampling the food and drink...What makes The Hide Bar really stand apart from the other bars in the area is the food, which is reasonably priced and much of it locally sourced from Borough Market. The Hide Bar does not disappoint when it comes to drinks. They offer 150 bottles of carefully selected wine, over 300 spirits including rare and premium bottles, a large selection of draught and bottled beer and a great choice of cocktails, all reasonably priced.
Bermondsey is on the up and it’s absolutely banging, find yourself down the right end of the street and you should head into Hide Bar. It’s got a good balance between chilled out pub and good cocktail joint, take a seat at the bar or get comfy on the sofas. Grab a hardback cocktail book and have a gander at what they have on offer. They have a back bar selection of over 500 spirits and they know what to do with them all.
